Nick Maxwell

Nick is a junior at Harvard College from the small town of Granville, Ohio. He’s pursuing a degree in social studies with a focus on legal institutions and great power competition. When he's not staffing conferences for HMC, he competes on the Mock Trial team, helps clients through the Small Claims Advisory Service, and organizes events for the Alexander Hamilton Society. In his free time, Nick can be found re-watching West Wing, re-reading Game of Thrones, or admiring pictures of his two dogs back home. He's so excited to meet all of you at HMCE 2021!

Julia Blank

Julia Blank, a freshman at Harvard College from Greenwich, Connecticut, is intending to pursue a degree in Government on the Data Science Track. When not participating in HMC, she spends her time competing for the Harvard Crimson Dance Team, producing the First Year Musical, and researching with the Harvard Sports Analytics Collective. In her free time, Julia loves to binge watch the latest shows on Netflix and bake desserts for her seemingly always hungry friends. This is Julia's first year staffing at HMCE and she is so excited to meet you all (online) soon!

Andrew LaScaleia

Andrew is a junior at Harvard studying government and economics. He hails from beautiful Massachusetts where he has lived his whole life. With HMC, Andrew has staffed conferences in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Mexico City. Outside of HMC, Andrew loves to play soccer with his roommates, sing, and hike all around the United States.

Alexandra Norris

Alexandra is a junior from Nashua, NH studying government and economics. She loves learning about public policy and hopes to work in public service in some capacity after graduation. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys hiking, biking, and being with friends. Alexandra has staffed HMC conferences in Asia and Boston and is beyond excited for HMCE 2021.

Anagha Kumar

Anagha, a junior at Harvard College from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, is pursuing a degree in Neuroscience or History and Science. Within HMC and public service, she has a strong interest and passion for issues involving social determinants of health and how that might affect the healthcare system, the aging population, and Medicare/Medicaid. Outside of HMC, she enjoys serving as community engagement chair for Harvard’s South Asian Association, choreographing for Ghungroo, and serving on the UC.

Jordan Topoleski

Jordan is a junior in Lowell House planning on studying History and Science with a secondary in Economics. A proud Ohio native, he enjoys spending his free time watching Ohio State football, reading the news, and going on runs. Outside of HMC, he chairs the Institute of Politics’ Economic Policy team and works on strategy consulting projects with nonprofit organizations. He is passionate about developmental economics, technology, and education, and is beyond excited meet everybody at HMCE 2021!

Ella Wesson

Ella Wesson is a first-year at Harvard College from Manhasset, New York. She plans to pursue a degree in the History of Science while on the pre-medical track. Aside from Harvard Model Congress, Ella enjoys soliciting articles and conducting interviews for the Harvard Health Policy Review and swimming on the Harvard Club Swim Team. Passionate about cooking and baking, listening to music, and traveling, Ella is super excited to staff HMC Europe 2021!

Taylor Whitsell

Taylor is a senior at Harvard originally from Danville, Kentucky. At Harvard, Taylor studies Government, with specific interest in human rights, foreign policy, and conflict resolution. He also likes to run, talk about politics, and rewatch The Office. He had the opportunity to study abroad in Greece between his first and second year of college, which provided him with a wonderful introduction to Europe (but has had him super excited to go back ever since)! This will be Taylor's ninth time staffing an HMC conference, and his first time staffing HMCE. He is thrilled to join the HMCE community and get to know all of the delegates.

Aidan Keenan

Aidan, originally from Salem, Massachusetts, is a junior living in Leverett House concentrating in Social Studies with a secondary in Computer Science. Outside of HMC, he is a member of the Club Swim Team and volunteers at the Mission Hill After School Program. He is extremely excited for this year’s HMC Europe Conference!

Katie O'Meara

Katie is a junior at the College most likely concentrating in Psychology. She is from Plano, TX, a suburb just outside of Dallas. Outside of HMC, she participates in the Fellows and Study Groups program at Harvard’s Institute of Politics and works with an after school program for elementary and middle school aged students in the Mission Hill community in Boston. In her free time, Katie enjoys watching all sports, especially football (Go Cowboys!) and exploring new restaurants in and around Harvard Square. She is excited to return to HMCE this year!

Mayowa Jolayemi

Mayowa is a sophomore from Los Angeles, California who plans to concentrate in Economics with a secondary in Psychology or Education. In addition to HMC, she mentors young girls in Strong Women, Strong girls through the Phillip Brooks House Association, serves as an Expeditions Director for Women in Business, and works as a student coordinator for the Harvard Financial Aid Initiative on campus. She enjoys laughing at cringy movies, reading, and practicing calligraphy, and trying random recipes she found online.

Lap Nguyen

Lap Nguyen is a first-year student at Harvard College with plans to pursue a degree in Economics and Government. Originally from Vietnam, he now lives in Rochester, Minnesota. Outside of HMC he is a part of the Intercollegiate Model UN team, conducts policy research for the Institute of Politics. In his free time he loves to go on hikes and try new foods around Boston. He is incredibly excited to meet all the wonderful students at HMCE this year!

Will Matheson

Will is a senior in Quincy House Studying Government and Economics. Beyond HMC, polls young Americans at Harvard’s Institute of Politics and can often be found snowboarding, biking, or hiking in the mountains near his hometown in Utah.

Venus Nnadi

Venus Chidinma Nnadi is a junior at Harvard College from Queens, New York City, studying Social Studies (focusing on racial inequality in American education) and African American Studies with a secondary field in Computer Science. Outside of HMC, she enjoys spending time with her friends and the amazing students she mentors, running, dancing with her Nigerian dance team, and growing in her Christian faith. Venus has staffed HMC Boston and HMC Middle East and looks forward to meeting you all as she staffs HMC Europe for the first time!

Emma Berens

Emma Berens is a Sophomore in Quincy House concentrating in Government and Public Policy with a citation in Spanish. As a lifelong Boston native, she loves spending time in the city with friends and family, writing, and traveling. On campus, Emma is a Peer Advising Fellow to several freshmen, has worked on political campaigns and serves as an analyst with the Harvard College Consulting on the Business and Environment. In addition to HMCE, Emma is staffing HMC Boston’s House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis this year. She is so excited to meet you all!

Trisha Prabhu

Trisha is a junior in Cabot House from Naperville, Illinois. She is pursuing a concentration in Government, with a focus on Tech Science, and a secondary in Economics. Passionate about Harvard Model Congress's educational mission, Trisha has staffed HMC in Boston, San Francisco, Asia, and Europe. Outside of Harvard Model Congress, Trisha is involved in South Asian Americans in Public Service and the Harvard Innovation Labs. In her free time, she likes to go for long runs and spend time her with close friends and family.

Ryan Bayer

Ryan is a senior in Quincy House from San Diego, CA. He concentrates in Economics with a secondary in Computer Science. Ryan is passionate about teaching young people the importance of democracy, civic engagement, and public service. Outside of HMC, he is a midshipman in Harvard’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and hanging out with friends.

Richard Sweeney

Richard is a junior studying Applied Math and Economics. Originally from Albany, New York, he now lives in Quincy House. On campus, Richard is very involved with polling at the Institute of Politics, and he plays tuba in the Harvard Marching Band. This will be his first year staffing HMC Europe and his third conference overall.

Matt Tibbitts

Matt Tibbitts is currently a first-year student planning to concentrate in economics. Matt’s from Ludlow, Massachusetts and is a legislative aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. In his senior year of high school, he was elected to the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education where he represented over 954,000 students, spoke at numerous education conferences, and was published in a national policy journal. In his free time, Matt can be found playing board games with his friends or playing the drums. This is his first year in HMC Europe, and he’s excited to virtually see you this March!

Alyssa Klee

Alyssa Klee is a junior at Harvard from Somers, NY, studying Molecular and Cellular Biology with a citation in Spanish. Outside of HMC, she plays on the Harvard Women's Club volleyball team, and volunteers at a hospital in the Longwood Medical Area. She is also passionate about her cancer research project at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. n her free time, Alyssa loves watching Marvel movies and playing with dogs. She is so excited to meet everyone at HMCE 2021!

Riley Hoffman

Riley Hoffman is a sophomore at Harvard College from Gaithersburg, Maryland. She is studying Cognitive Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Outside of HMC, Riley conducts neuroscience research and is a Peer Advising Fellow for the Class of 2024. This is Riley's first time staffing HMC Europe, and she can't wait to meet you all at the Conference!
